The Unstable Archives team gave me a lot of creative freedom in designing this poster for their online event. Equipped with the abstract for the event, I shared several drafts with them and we settled on the design you can see here.
FEMINIST THINKING SEMINARS
Term card / Poster
The 2020 Feminist Thinking Seminars at the University of Oxford hosted a series of academics, authors, activists, and artists speaking on a broad spectrum of topics: from popular British reality show Love Island, to queer identifications, to T.S. Eliot, to women's activism in China and more. I wanted our term cards to reflect this eclectic range of topics and decided to design the poster in a way that resembled a cut-and-paste zine. As a space for subaltern ideas and practices, the traditional zine gelled well our own values and inspired this 'rough around the edges' look.
